Slip-n-Slide

Landon loves the slip and slide. We bought him a baby pool, but he just wants to crawl out of it and go hang out with Leanna on the slip and slide. He thinks it's funny when the water hits him in the face and he kept sticking out his tongue to drink the water.
After splashing around I snuggled a naked boy in a towel who decided the towel shouldn't stay dry! Ha, ha.

Leanna and Landon telling secrets. The look on Landon's face is hilarious!

And the champion is....LEANNA! She is now a pro this year at slipping and sliding! She learned from her mistakes last year and has shown great improvements in her technique this summer. She has played so hard that we are already on our second slip and slide so far!

I just think this picture is great! Father and daughter working together. Hope you are having a cool summer.

June 2010

Remember Landon loves Leanna's baby doll, Annabelle. We say that she is his "girlfriend". He cracks up when you turn on her "talking" and he will laugh and talk back to her. I've decided he needs his own baby doll for his birthday (just don't mention that to Nathan!).
Who doesn't like to relax after a bowl of rice cereal and 7 oz of milk!?! Look at that profile!

Our family photo before church last Sunday. Notice how Landon put his hand (not posed) on Leanna's shoulder.

My two sweet children

Todd- do you recognize this outfit? Well, you should.... I think Mom has pictures of you wearing it.

Family Kickball Game

Landon enjoys the laundry basket as a playpen. Just throw in a few toys and he's busy as a bee. Don't you just love his hair?
Is this Pops or what? Todd- you missed an exciting game of kickball at Grandaddy's b'day celebration!

Yeah Mimi- we are so glad you didn't fall down this time!

Leanna is always ready to pose for a picture. She is the one who wanted to play kickball and of course Grandaddy wasn't going to say no to her!

Grandaddy- are you sure you turned 88? You could keep up with everyone else! Sorry it's taken me so long to post these, but it's already been a busy summer.

Decoration Day

Landon looks like such a big boy in this outfit Mrs.Donette made him. Thanks Mrs.Donette-it looks adorable!
Who wouldn't want a hairstyle like this when you wake up in the morning? Leanna's hair can do the wildest things during the night!

A couple of weekends ago we went to Nathan's grandmother's house for Decoration Day. We visited the cemetary, looked at all the flowers and saw lots of family. Back at her house, we ate lunch and sat around and talked for the afternoon. Here is Nathan with both grandmothers and Landon.
Leanna loves when she gets to see her cousin Mollie. They had fun on the tree swing and running around outside. Can you tell how hot it was by their red cheeks?

Milestones

Landon has been a busy 8 month old boy learning how to pull up on everything and he is CRAWLING! I love this picture because you can see the outline of his wild hair sticking up!
Landon thinks this is hilarious. He cracks up everytime Nathan plays with him.

Thanks Aunt Linda for coming to Leanna's talent show performance. She was really glad you were able to come since she considers herself your "first" grandchild!
Leanna had a crowd of people to enjoy her performance at the school talent show. Mimi, Pops, Landon and myself were able to be there and see her fantastic crowd pleasing comedy routine. I can't believe she'll be starting 5th grade in August. Where does the time go?

Landon obviously enjoys this chair. This used to be Leanna's and it was painted hot pink. It took a couple of cans of blue before the pink was covered up! I had asked Leanna if it was ok if Landon could use her chair (she's very protective and sentimental of her past toys, clothes, etc.). She said "yes, but I have a lot of good memories in that chair!" What a hoot- she cracks me up with some of the things she comes up with to say.
