Fall and Halloween

Leanna took these pictures of our cat Tiger.  Doesn't every girl need to carry a purse?
Tiger looks like someone hit her over the head to hold this pose.
Landon got upset about something and this is his sad face.
Leanna smacking her gum and hanging out in the golf cart at Mimi and Pop's.
Landon finding fall leaves to give to me.
 Cruising....
These are the fun things you do at Mimi and Pops house.... find weird mushrooms growing and pick it up with a stick.
Posing with another cute outfit by Mrs.Donette.
 Sweet cousin Edison
Ok- so this is not one of the better poses, but it was hard to get them looking and smiling at the same time.
Landon got building blocks for his birthday.  Tonight it was a rocket ship, one night a zoo for stuffed animals or a tall tower to knock down over and over.
Picking pumpkins from a local farmer.
Look how big they are. I can't believe I have children this old- no wonder I feel tired all the time.
Getting for the annual pumpkin carving and pumpkin seed eating night.
Nothing like pumpkin gut to squish between your fingers....
 or pretend to eat...
and the final result.  Leanna designed and Nathan executed.
Landon was fire fighter this year.  Isn't this the best costume that Nana found?  He really looked like a miniature fireman.
Leanna and her friend Calista posing before trick or treating.
My 50's girl and fireman.... they had a good time trick or treating and taking a hay ride around the neighborhood.  We got way too much candy- but we'll take care of that!

Landon's 3rd birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday Landon.  I can't believe it's already been 3 years since Landon was born.
Isn't that the sweetest smile?  He is such a good natured loving boy.
Since we went for a construction theme... here's the dump truck filling in the big 3.
We used orange and yellow buckets, scoops, orange cones and caution tape to decorate.  All of the kids had yellow construction hats to wear except it was so windy- they kept flying everywhere.

They had construction rubber duckies, truck stickers and fruit snacks in their treat bags.
Here is Landon's buddy, Will.  They live next door so they enjoy playing together.
Get ready to blow out the candles.

Here is the back of Landon's friend, Sarah.  I think he is enamored with her and loves to play with her when he stays with Mrs.Cindy.  She was his "helper" when he opened presents.
It was a great September day for a celebration with family and friends.

Summer Fun Part 2

Landon has one of Nathan's transformers that turns into a gun.  I guess he thought the racing helmet would be good eye protection as well.
Since Todd, Rebecca and little Edison were here- we all went to the Aquarium one weekend.  Somehow we squished 4 adults and 3 children, as well as luggage into our Tahoe.  We had fun, but were glad it was only an 1 1/2 drive with one pit stop.
Landon and daddy swimming.  Landon liked swimming with Nathan better- I guess he's more fun in the pool than me.
Group shot- we had the pool all to ourselves!
Leanna showing off her swimming skills!  They had improved since our last little trip.
What a cutie.  He thought he could swim and jump and dive and shoot water guns like everyone else.
My two little guppies at the Aquarium.

Ok, the last time we were at the Aquarium was pre-Landon.  I should post the previous pic b/c you would be amazed at how much Leanna has grown.
 Still growing....
Here is that sweet Edison.  Look at those big brown eyes.
Couldn't you just pinch those cheeks?
Obviously Edison is not happy about having his picture taken.  Let's see... the last time he was here- he fell out of a wagon on his head and tried to eat the forbidden cookie...I guess he's worried about what might happen.
I got these guys matching outfits and wanted to get better shots and locations, but you go with the flow.
Edison's trying to escape and Landon thinks he's in charge and SO big.
Happy 1st birthday Edison!!!!

Blast off on the 4th

We decided last minute to go to Huntsville's Space and Rocket Center for a quick get-away.  We thought the kids would enjoy the rockets and a pool.
Leanna's already excited and this is just the rest stop in AL.

Landon likes to get down and dirty checking things out.  I think the whole trip he was more interested in picking up pine cones in the parking lot, leaves in the pool and sticks on the ground- what a boy!
Landon didn't want to pose in front of the pretty backdrop.  Leanna's always up for a pic.
Leanna decided to try out some rock climbing at the Space center.  She did a really good job and had fun with this new adventure.

     My favorite astronauts!
 Nathan flying a rocket- ha!

Posing on the equipment- Landon had so many buttons to push, knobs to turn and switches to flip he was in "boy heaven".  Usually we are saying don't touch that--- but there was plenty to touch and play with at the space center so I think he had fun.
Look at those long legs.  She fit great into all the capsules and had long enough arms to be able to reach all the controls as if she was a real astronaut!

I used to think I wanted to be an astronaut!  Once I climbed into this space capsule I decided teaching was probaby a better choice.

We enjoyed fireworks from our hotel balcony that were happening at the space center.  The rockets made a great back drop for the bright explosions.

Landon enjoying the fireworks too!  I think he enjoyed the pool too much and was worn out before the fireworks began.  I didn't take any pictures at the pool, but we had a great time splashing around.
